Headshot of Alex Bell.

Hi! I’m Alex

A creative leader with more than a decade of experience building brand systems, workflows and campaigns for a complex institution.

I started my career as a marketing coordinator at Pacific University, where I was hired to wear a lot of hats — designing marketing materials, managing projects and supporting communications across campus. Over the next decade, I grew into roles with increasing responsibility, eventually leading the university’s creative team as Creative Director.

Along the way, I earned a master’s degree in Strategic Communication from Washington State University, deepening my interest in the intersection of organizational strategy, creative leadership and communication.

Today, I specialize in translating complex organizational goals into creative systems, workflows and brand standards that help teams produce thoughtful, consistent work.

How I Lead

I believe creative work is at its best when expectations are clear, teams feel supported and the best ideas can come from anywhere. I enjoy building systems that remove friction, creating clarity for designers, writers, photographers and videographers to do their best work. Whether I’m leading a brand initiative or redesigning a website, I focus on collaboration, trust and practical solutions that make creative work sustainable over time.

Outside of Work

When I’m not leading creative projects, you’ll probably find me quilting, experimenting with watercolor, or working on a home improvement project with my husband. We live in Hillsboro, Oregon, with our standard poodle and our tabby cat, Pretzel, who firmly believes he’s in charge.
